Celebrating all things ART in Natomas!

Harvest for Hunger 2012

Natomas Artist Kerri Warner created a series of portraits, entitled Faces of Hunger, to create awareness and raise funds for the River City Food Bank.  The Faces will be available for purchase at the Harvest for Hunger event on September 28th at the elegant Jon Stevenson Mansion – 1724 N Street in Midtown.

Besides a beautiful garden setting, guests will enjoy viewing and bidding on art from Verge Center for the Arts and on special portraits designed for River City Food Bank by artist Kerri Warner.  The Joe Mazzaferro Group will play soft jazz while guests feast on tasty small plates, delicious wine, beer and beverages.  Gourmet cupcates too!

Capital Artists’ Studio Tour (CAST) in Natomas this Weekend

Natomas Artists Marianne Bland and Kerri Warner will have their studios open this weekend (September 8 & 9, 2012  from 10 am – 5 pm) participating in CAST!

The Capital Artists’ Studio Tour  (CAST) is the best way to support local artists and to encourage artistic growth in our community, not to mention have a great time! It is FREE to tour goers and gives our local artists a chance to share their art from the intimate environment of their own studios.

New for 2012 is that the geographical area has expanded in size to include all studios within approximately a 10 mile radius of CCAS from the previous 4 mile radius which was in place last year. New areas include the Arden-Arcade Area, Carmichael, Natomas, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Nimbus, Rio Linda, Freeport and West Sacramento.

Check out the guide on the official CAST website and plan to visit these amazing Natomas artists in their studios.
