6th Annual Floyd Kennedy Drum Festival

Drum Festival and Fundraiser for the Natomas High School Drum Corps.

$15 all day pass+ evening show; $10 evening show only

Support the NHS Drum Corps by attending this event.  The day begins with a Drum Corps Showcase and then a Drum Clinic.  The evening show begins at 6:00 in the NHS theater and will open with the NHS Drum corps, followed by the Tom Tom Little-beats and The Teenage protégées. The Battle Drum Gladiators are next on program followed by a featured guest.

Something for Everyone This Week

If you’re looking for something arts related to do this week, look no further.  There is something for everyone this week!   Tuesday April  5th, Studio 18 in Natomas will be teaching a little Swing and Foxtrot at the Free Big Band Group Lesson and Party Night at the Red Lion Hotel.  Wednesday is KVIE’s Spring for the Arts with live art auction and more.  Thursday you can check out the talented youth at the Natomas Park Elementary Talent Show.   The NPE Student Council has voted to donate all the proceeds from this event to aid in the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.   Alice in Wonderland is playing at the Natomas High School Theatre Thursday through Saturday.  There’s  live music at Fuju Lounge on Friday and Saturday nights.  The Project Dream fundraiser is at the Aerospace Museum of California.  Back  in Natomas is the Westlake Charter School 6th Annual International Festival and  a 2nd Saturday Artists Reception with Inderkum High School Art Students and the Natomas Artists group at Maestro.  Also on Saturday is Open Mic Night at Straw Hat Pizza hosted by the Natomas School of Music.   Bring your instrument and join in the fun!

High School Student Productions

Support the arts in Natomas area high schools by seeing one or both of the following high school productions.

3 performances remain at the Benvenuti Performing Arts Center (4600 Blackrock Dr) for the Natomas Charter Performing Fine Arts Academy production of Once on this Island:  March 31 and April 1 & 2 at 7PM.   March 31st is Student Discount Night and all Natomas area Middle and High School Students can see the show for only $5.   Bring your student ID or just let the box office staff know you go to school in Natomas and you will receive your discount.

At the Main Theater at Natomas High School (3301 Fong Ranch Rd), see Alice in Wonderland.  Shows are – March 31, April 1 & 2 & April 7, 8, 9 at 7PM in the Main Theatre.
Tickets may be purchased online in advance by using the NHS student store or by purchasing at the ticket booth before the show.
